* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Western Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
DuPage County in northeastern Illinois...
Northwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois...
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 822 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the
advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, with
locally higher totals over 3 inches in southeast DuPage County.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg,
Palatine, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Wheaton, Hoffman Estates,
Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Bartlett and Streamwood.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
