* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 632 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain approaching due
to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Rainfall amounts of 1 to 1 1/2 inches, locally 2 inches, are
expected over the area. This rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Levittown, Freeport, Valley Stream, Long Beach, Huntington
Station, Deer Park, Lindenhurst, Glen Cove, Plainview, Garden
City, Massapequa, Lynbrook, Syosset, Mineola, Huntington,
Woodmere, Westbury, Babylon, Great Neck and Farmingdale.
