* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of Utah, including the following areas, Bryce
Canyon Country, Capitol Reef National Park and Vicinity, Glen
Canyon Recreation Area/Lake Powell, South Central Utah, Southern
Mountains, Upper Sevier River Valleys, Western Canyonlands, Lower
Washington County and Zion National Park.
* WHEN...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, dry washes, slot canyons, and other low-lying and
flood-prone locations such as slickrock areas and recent burn scars
including Cottonwood, Widemouth 2, France Canyon, Monroe Canyon,
Forsyth, and Silver King.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Deep tropical moisture will continue to bring the threat of heavy
rainfall to portions of southern and eastern Utah through
tonight. Additional rainfall totals of 0.50 to 1.00 inch, with
locally up to 2.00 inches will occur in this area. The flooding
threat will be exasperated by already saturated ground, with area
streams, creeks, river and other waterways already running high.
