Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 25 at 8:28AM EDT until September 26 at 7:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
* WHAT...Two to two and a half feet of inundation above ground
level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.
* WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EDT Saturday, especially around the time of
high tide.
* IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island
and docks near Dahlgren.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet above
normal. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 7:49 PM and 8:09
AM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 2:39 PM and 2:56 AM.
The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 3:55 PM and 4:15 AM.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
