Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 22 at 9:35AM EDT until September 24 at 6:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
* WHAT...Two to three feet of inundation above ground level
expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.
* WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT Thursday, especially around the time of
high tide.
* IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island
and docks near Dahlgren.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet above
normal. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 1:59 PM and 2:12
AM. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 5:53 PM and 6:06 AM.
The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 12:33 PM and 12:57 AM.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
