Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 25 at 7:05PM EDT until September 28 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low
lying areas due to tidal flooding.
* WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties.
* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Monday, especially around the time of
high tide.
* IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island
and docks near Dahlgren.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet above
normal. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 4:15 AM and 4:29
PM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 2:56 AM and 3:17 PM.
The next high tide at Indian Head is at 7:49 PM and 8:09 AM.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
