* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 2 above. For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 20 to 30 mph
with gusts up to 50 mph expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning,
dangerously cold wind chills as low as zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast North Carolina and eastern and
southeast Virginia.
* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 10 PM EST this
evening. For the Wind Advisory, until 9 PM EST this evening. For
the Extreme Cold Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM EST
Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The
cold wind chills as low as 1 below zero could result in
hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
