* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas,
Bureau, Carroll, Henry IL, Putnam, Rock Island and Whiteside and
Iowa, including the following areas, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar,
Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Linn,
Muscatine and Scott.
* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rounds of rain with embedded thunderstorms will occur across the
area through Saturday morning with peak hourly rates between 1 to
2 inches from the strongest storms. Rainfall totals will vary
considerably across the watch area. The hardest hit areas south
of I-80 could receive 3 to 5 inches of rainfall with isolated
higher amounts possible. Flash flooding is a risk with an
increased probability of river and creek flooding.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
