* WHAT...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
as low as 26. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind
chills as low as 25 expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Charlotte, Coastal Lee, Inland Charlotte, Inland
Lee, Coastal Hillsborough, Coastal Manatee, Coastal Sarasota,
Inland Manatee, Inland Sarasota, and Pinellas Counties.
* WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 AM EST this
morning. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight
tonight to 9 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with
prolonged exposure.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
