Winter Storm Warning issued December 28 at 10:15AM CST until December 29 at 3:00PM CST by NWS Green Bay WI
Due to increased confidence across parts of Door County, especially
northern Door County, for wind gusts of 50 mph or greater and,
subsequently, the expectation of visibility to be reduced to less
than 1/4 of a mile for several hours, have upgraded Door County to a
Blizzard Warning.
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
6 inches. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph, causing considerable
blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE...Calumet, Winnebago, Brown, Outagamie, Southern Marinette
County, and Southern Oconto County Counties.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 3 PM CST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of heavy snow and strong winds
may result in some tree damage and power outages.
