* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook and Will and northwest Indiana, including the
following counties, Lake IN and Porter.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 412 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Merrillville, Valparaiso, Chicago Heights, Schererville,
Hobart, Crown Point, Park Forest, Matteson, Frankfort, Cedar
Lake, Steger, Griffith, Dyer, St. John, Richton Park, Sauk
Village, Lynwood, Crete, University Park and Lakes of the
Four Seasons.
