* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
* WHERE...Southwest Suffolk and Southeast Suffolk Counties.
* WHEN...From 5 AM to noon EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations
near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying
properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and
businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience
minor flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional minor coastal flooding is
possible with high tide cycles late Sunday through early Monday.
Ice from the back bays could get pushed onshore during high tide,
and flood waters could freeze on roadways, further complicating
impacts.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
