* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties in western
Massachusetts, as well as Hartford and Tolland Counties in
Northern Connecticut.
* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to develop Tuesday
afternoon into Wednesday across the Watch area. The heaviest
rainfall is expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday.
Excessive rainfall rates are possible, which could trigger
instances of street flooding and contribute to rises on
rivers, streams and larger river basins. Two to three inches
of rain are expected in the Watch area, with locally higher
amounts possible especially along the eastern slopes of the
Berkshires and portions of western Hartford County.
