...FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL RESULT IN SLICK TRAVEL CONDITIONS TONIGHT...
.No major changes to the forecast as we are around an hour away from
the start of the Advisory, with the best chance for minor ice
accumulations from freezing drizzle generally north of I-94.
Temperature observations show near 30 temperatures within the
Advisory with 32-35 degrees a bit farther to the south which should
result in only drizzle and wet roadways where temperatures are warm
enough.
Slick roadways are likely in areas that remain below freezing with a
glaze to up to a tenth of an inch of icing possible from freezing
drizzle from this evening through early Friday. Conditions will
improve by around 6am Friday as temperatures warm enough to begin to
melt any ice, with temperatures generally above freezing throughout
the day.
* WHAT...Freezing drizzle expected. Total ice accumulations up to one
tenth of an inch.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, and
Washington Counties. In Wisconsin, Barron, Polk, Rusk, Chippewa,
Dunn, Eau Claire, and St. Croix Counties.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous
conditions will impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning
commutes.
