* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast and east-central Georgia.
* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely
become slick and hazardous. Gusty winds could result in areas of
blowing snow and poor visibility. Plan on very difficult to
impossible travel conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills will range from 10 to 15 above
zero today and from the single digits below zero to the single
digits above zero early tonight.
Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm
kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster
cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take
water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive

Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
