Winter Weather Advisory issued January 20 at 3:00AM EST until January 20 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY
* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 2 to 4
inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as
35 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility
in open areas.
* WHERE...Monroe, Livingston, and Ontario Counties. The greatest
accumulations will be across southern Monroe, northern Livingston,
and northwest Ontario counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions will impact this morning's commute. Gusty
winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.
Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
