* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the
following areas, Coastal Onslow, Duplin, East Carteret, Hatteras
Island, Inland Onslow, Jones, Lenoir, Northern Craven, Ocracoke
Island, Pamlico, Southern Craven and West Carteret.
* WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A slow moving cold front will approach and then stall over
eastern North Carolina this morning and lingering through
tomorrow. Rounds of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms could
bring rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches. Heavier amounts will
be possible where rainfall rates are the most intense.
