* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...In northeast New Jersey, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic
and Union counties, and in southeast New York, Kings (Brooklyn),
New York (Manhattan), Queens and Richmond (Staten Island) counties.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1056 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is expected in the advisory
area. Between 3/4 and 1 1/2 inches of rain are expected.
- Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Paterson, Elizabeth, Flatbush,
Flushing, Passaic, Bayonne, Wayne, Hoboken, Plainfield,
Bloomfield, Hackensack, Linden, Orange, Bergenfield, Paramus,
Ridgewood and Coney Island.
