For the Extreme Heat Warning on Tuesday, dangerously hot conditions
with air temperatures over 105 degrees and heat index values near
110 degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of east central, southeast, and southern Oklahoma.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory today, until 8 PM CDT this evening.
For the Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM to 8 PM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
