* WHAT...Localized lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
of 1 to 2 inches in the most persistent lake snows. The greatest
additional accumulation will be near the Lake Ontario shoreline.
* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, and Genesee Counties.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
conditions.
Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
