Red Flag Warning issued March 27 at 2:02PM MDT until March 30 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Riverton WY
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon Saturday to 9 PM MDT Monday.
the Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Unseasonably Warm Temperatures...and
Strong Gusty Winds could cause erratic fire behavior.
* AFFECTED AREA:
In Central WY...Fire Weather Zones 280...289 and 300.
* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In Central WY...Fremont...Natrona.
In Southwest WY...Sweetwater.
* WIND: West 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph Saturday and
Sunday. West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph Monday. Wind
will decrease at night.
* HUMIDITY: As low as 10 percent. Poor Humidity recovery each
night.
* TEMPERATURES: Highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s. Lows in the
upper 30s to lower 40s.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
