* WHAT...Heavy snow, mixing with and changing to sleet late this
afternoon and then mixing with or changing to light freezing rain
tonight. Additional snow and sleet accumulations between 3 and 5
inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, are
already slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile
due to falling and blowing snow.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Check local Department of
Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.
