* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook and DuPage.
* WHEN...Until 315 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may
be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1017 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain with rates
up to one inch per hour moving through the area.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Hammond,
Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Palatine, Skokie,
Des Plaines, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Wheaton,
Hoffman Estates, Oak Park, Downers Grove and Glenview.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
