* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following
counties, Bergen, Hudson and Union and southeast New York,
including the following counties, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New
York (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island) and Westchester.
* WHEN...Until 815 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 514 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated pockets of showers
with embedded thunderstorms approaching from the southwest.
Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jersey City, Jamaica, Yonkers, Flatbush, New Rochelle,
Flushing, Bayonne, White Plains, Mott Haven, Hoboken, East
Tremont, Port Chester, Coney Island, Secaucus, Rye, Rockaway
Beach, Ridgefield, Todt Hill, Dobbs Ferry and Crown Heights.
