* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following
counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union and southeast
New York, including the following county, Richmond (Staten Island).
* WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 325 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Newark, Elizabeth, Passaic, Plainfield, Bloomfield,
Hackensack, Linden, Orange, Summit, Lyndhurst, Millburn,
Rutherford, Harrison, Caldwell, Huguenot, Port Richmond,
Kearny, Tottenville, Clark and Fairfield.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
