humidity and cured fuels will lead to conditions conducive for
rapid fire growth.
* AFFECTED AREA...All of central Iowa.
* WIND...West wind 25 to 35 mph with gusts of at least 40 to 50
mph.
* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values of 12 to 22%.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
