Forecast:
Expect a further 80 to 120 mm of rain on top of what has already fallen. Intensities of 15 to 25 mm per hour expected, and there is a chance of downpours of 25 to 40 mm per hour, which may or may not be associated with thunderstorms. Conditions may ease south of Bay of Islands earlier Saturday morning. Impact: Streams and rivers may rise rapidly. Surface flooding, slips, and difficult driving conditions possible. Chance of upgrading to a Red Warning: Low. Changes: Warning extended to cover all of eastern Northland and all areas from the Karikari Peninsula northwards.
