Heavy Rain Risk Area
The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon trough lies across upper Myanmar and upper Laos into the tropical storm “NARRA” over the Gulf of Tonkin with isolated heavy rains in Thailand.
The rather strong winds force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
In addition, tropical storm “NARRA” over the Gulf of Tonkin is expected to make landfall over the South of Guangxi, China during 25-26 August 2026. This storm will not move to Thailand. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling.
People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
