Flood Advisory issued April 12 at 3:56PM AST until April 12 at 6:00PM AST by NWS San Juan PR
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Aguada, Aguadilla, Camuy, Hatillo, Isabela, Moca,
Quebradillas and Rincon.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM AST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows
over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor
drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 356 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen with the
heaviest showers, particularly in southern Isabela,
Quebradillas, Camuy and Hatillo, as well northern Moca.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Arecibo, Moca, Isabela, Quebradillas, Aguadilla, Aguada,
Camuy, Hatillo, Rincon, Aceitunas, Hato Arriba, Caban,
Luyando, Rafael Gonzalez, Rafael Capo, San Antonio, Mora,
Rafael Hernandez, Cacao and Piedra Gorda.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
