* WHAT...This level of heat may affect individuals sensitive to heat,
especially those without effective cooling or adequate hydration.
* WHERE...Portions of Puerto Rico, Vieques, Culebra, and all the U.S.
Virgin Islands.
* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 6 PM AST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and prolonged sun exposure, combined
with locally higher humidity, may increase the risk of heat-related
illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose-
fitting clothing. Limit strenuous activities to the early morning or
evening when possible. Take action if you experience symptoms of heat
exhaustion or heat stroke.
