A winter storm is expected.
What :
Total snowfall accumulations of 20 to 30 centimetres over a 24-hour period.
Strong winds reaching between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour.
Blowing snow resulting in greatly reduced visibilities.
2 to 5 mm of freezing rain.
When: Wednesday to Thursday
Where: La Tuque, Laurentian Wildlife Reserve, Charlevoix, Saguenay, Kamouraska, Témiscouata and Rimouski.
Additional information:
Precipitation will begin as snow and will be accompanied by blowing snow. Snow will then change to freezing rain late in the day on Wednesday before changing back to snow beginning Thursday.
Travel will be difficult in snow and blowing snow. There will likely be transportation delays and cancellations. Road closures are possible.
Consider delaying or cancelling any non-essential travel.
