“ADA” MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH WHILE MOVING NORTHEASTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.
Location of eye/center : The center of Tropical Depression ADA was estimated based on all available data at at 820 km East of Northern Luzon (18.0, 129.5).
Strength : Maximum winds of 55 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Tomorrow (21 January): Most of Luzon, Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula; Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

Up to very rough seas over the following coastal waters:
Up to 5.5 m: The seaboards of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Up to 5.0 m: The seaboard of Ilocos Norte; the eastern seaboard of mainland Cagayan.
Up to 4.5 m: The seaboards of Ilocos Sur and Isabela; the remaining seaboard of mainland Cagayan
Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside.
Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters:
Up to 3.0 m: The seaboard of Aurora and Camarines Norte; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, and Northern Samar; the northern seaboard of Camarines Sur; the eastern seaboards of Albay, Sorsogon, and Eastern Samar; the remaining seaboard of Ilocos Region
Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.
Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters:
Up to 2.5 m: The seaboard of Zambales, northern mainland Quezon, Kalayaan Islands, and Surigao del Sur; the eastern seaboard of Dinagat Islands; the northern and eastern seaboards of Siargao-Bucas Grande Islands; the western seaboards of Polillo Islands
Up to 2.0 m: The eastern seaboard of Davao Oriental
Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.
Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m.
TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
ADA is forecast to move generally eastward before turning south southeastward tomorrow (21 January). Continuous dry air entrainment from the northeast monsoon is expected to result in gradual weakening of ADA. It may be downgraded into a low pressure area by tomorrow, although earlier weakening remains possible.
