Under present weather conditions, At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "BASYANG" {PENHA} was estimated based on all available data at 460 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.1°N, 130.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving West Southwestward at 15 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.
The 12-hour rainfall forecast is moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms.
WATERCOURSES LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED :
+ **Siquijor** - All rivers and its tributaries
+ **Bohol** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Inabanga, Ipil, Matulid, Loboc and Abatan.
+ **Cebu** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Kotkot, Mananga, Guinabasan, Balamban and Sabangdaku.
+ **Negros Oriental** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly La Libertad, Tanjay, Candugay, Siaton, Cawitan, Sipocong, Bayawan, Pagatban and Lower Tabanan.
People living near the mountain slopes and in the low lying areas of the above mentioned river systems and the **Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils** concerned advised to be alert for possible flashfloods
