“ADA” IS NOW MOVING EASTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA EAST OF NORTHERN LUZON.
Location of eye/center : The center of Tropical Depression ADA was estimated based on all available data at 970 km East of Northern Luzon (17.8, 130.9).
Strength : Maximum winds of 55 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 70 kph.

The surge of the Northeast Monsoon will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):
Today: Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Abra, northern and eastern mainland Cagayan, eastern Isabela, Aurora, Rizal, Quezon, Lubang Islands, Romblon, Marinduque, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Caluya Islands, Dinagat Islands, and Siargao-Bucas Grande Islands.
Tomorrow (21 January): Most of Luzon, Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula; Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Thursday (22 January): Most of Luzon, Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula; Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

Up to very rough seas over the following coastal waters:
Up to 5.5 m: The seaboards of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Isabela; the eastern seaboard of mainland Cagayan.
Up to 5.0 m: The seaboard of Ilocos Norte.
Up to 4.5 m: The seaboards of Ilocos Sur and northern Aurora.
Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside.
Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters:
Up to 3.5 m: The seaboard of Camarines Norte; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands and Catanduanes; the remaining seaboard of Aurora.
Up to 3.0 m: The seaboards of La Union, Pangasinan, northern Quezon, and Camarines Sur; the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Samar; the eastern seaboards of Albay, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, and Siargao-Bucas Grande Islands; the remaining seaboards of Polillo Islands and Catanduanes.
Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.
Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters:
Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Zambales, Kalayaan Islands, and Surigao del Sur; the eastern seaboard of Davao Oriental.
Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.
Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m.
TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
ADA is forecast to move generally southeastward for the next 24 hours. Continuous dry air entrainment from the northeast monsoon is expected to result in gradual weakening of ADA. It may be downgraded into a low pressure area by tomorrow (21 January).
