Disruptive Rain
-Flooding of roads and settlements (informal and formal), mudslides and rock falls.
-Danger to life especially those living near rivers and streams (fast flowing streams / deep water).
-Major disruption of traffic flow due to major roads being flooded as well as poor driving conditions.
-Possible damage to low lying roads and bridges.
-Some communities temporarily not accessible/cut-off (especially those surrounded by rivers and streams).
-Damage to mud-based/make-shift houses/structures.
If possible stay indoors and off the roads, avoid crossing rivers and swollen streams where water is above your ankles. If trapped in a vehicle during a flood, abandon it and climb to higher ground. In buildings, move valuables to a safe place above the expected flood level.
