Coastal Flood Advisory issued May 18 at 1:55PM EDT until May 19 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington NC
* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level
expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways.
* WHERE...The lower Cape Fear River including downtown
Wilmington.
* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The lowest portions of USS North Carolina Road and
Battleship Road may experience minor coastal flooding. Water
will spread out of storm drains onto Water Street just south of
Market Street in downtown Wilmington.
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
