...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Pennsylvania...
Ohio River At Pittsburgh affecting Allegheny County.
.Heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours led to rises in the streams
and tributaries south of Pittsburgh. With rainfall continuing, there
remains some uncertainty in whether the Point at Pittsburgh will
exceed Action stage. If storms over WV move through faster, the crest
at Pittsburgh could be lower.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Pittsburgh.
* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the Monongahela
Parking Wharf. At 19.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the North
Shore Riverwalk between the stadiums. At 19.5 feet, The Monongahela
Parking Wharf is completely flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is projected to rise to a crest of 18.5 to
19.0 feet tomorrow evening.
- Action stage is 18.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
