* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility a quarter mile or
less in dense fog. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold
wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees below zero and minimum air
temperatures as low as 5 to 0 degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of central, eastern, north central, southeast,
southwest, and western Arkansas.
* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 8 AM CST Thursday. For
the Extreme Cold Watch, from late Friday night through Monday
morning.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could
result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Low visibility
could make driving conditions hazardous.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
