Flood Advisory issued June 2 at 1:11PM HST until June 2 at 4:30PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.
* WHEN...Until 430 PM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 110 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over windward and
southeast Big Island with the heaviest rain over the Kau,
lower Puna, and South Hilo districts. Rain was falling at a
rate of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour. Civil Defense has
reported Highway 11 near Kawa Flats is closed to small
vehicles due to ponding of the roadway. Additional heavy
showers are expected to move in through the afternoon.

Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kapaau, Honokaa, Volcano,
Glenwood, Mountain View, Hawaiian Acres, Keaau, Papaikou,
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Pepeekeo, Honomu, Orchidlands
Estates, Hakalau, Ninole, Laupahoehoe, Wood Valley and Pahoa.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
