* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 533 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to locally heavy rain
over windward Big Island. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to
2 inches per hour in the heaviest showers.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kapaau, Honokaa, Honomu,
Papaikou, Pepeekeo, Hakalau, Ninole, Laupahoehoe, Mountain
View, Glenwood, Volcano, Ookala, Keaau, Paauilo, Hawaiian
Acres, Orchidlands Estates and Hawaii Volcanoes National
Park.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
A Flood Watch is also in effect until 6 PM HST Monday.
