High Wind Warning issued December 23 at 11:06AM PST until December 24 at 1:00PM PST by NWS Medford OR
* WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, southeast winds 35 to 45 mph
with gusts up to 60 mph expected. For the Wind Advisory, southeast
winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
* WHERE...The High Wind Warning is in effect for the Siskiyou and
Cascade foothills,higher elevations eats of Medford, and the
southern Rogue Valley south of Medford, including Ashland,
Phoenix, Talent, and the Interstate 5 corridor.
* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 1 PM PST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and
cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured
objects and a few power outages may result. Large inflatable
holiday decorations will be blown about.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind hazards are possible again Wednesday
night into Christmas Day.
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
