Heavy Rain Risk Area
The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast into the low pressure cell over the Gulf of Tonkin while the moderate southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain and isolated heavy rains are possible in the country with heavy rain in some places of the upper North and the western Northeast.
People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The moderate winds and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
