Heavy Rain Risk Area
The monsoon trough moves down to lie across the upper North and the upper portion of the Northeast into tropical depression over the coastal south of China while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain and isolated heavy rains are forecast in Thailand while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast and the East regions.
The rather strong winds force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
In addition, the active low pressure cell over the south of China is developted to tropical depression, expedted to intensified and forecast to move near Taiwan during 2 – 3 September 2026. Passengers shoul check the weather’s update before departure. This storm is not move to Thialand.
People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
