Dense Fog Advisory issued February 13 at 12:45PM CST until February 14 at 10:00AM CST by NWS Duluth MN
* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog. Areas of
freezing fog may create a very light coat of ice.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, South Cass, Cook and Lake
Counties. In Wisconsin, Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron,
and Sawyer Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the
northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad River
Reservation, the Grand Portage Reservation, the Red Cliff Band,
the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and the Mille Lacs Band, Big
Sandy Lake and, East Lake areas. Other locations including
Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. This
also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and central area.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 10 AM CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
In areas where temperatures are near or below freezing, the fog
could result in icy roads, sidewalks, and other surfaces.
If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights and fog lights,
and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
Heed caution when walking or driving on untreated surfaces for the
potential of a light coat of ice.
