* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 10 below expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously
cold wind chills as low as 10 below to 20 below expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north
central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.
* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight EST /11 PM
CST/ tonight to 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ Monday. For the Extreme Cold
Warning, from 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ Monday to 11 AM EST /10 AM CST/
Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could
result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
