Winter Storm Warning issued January 23 at 11:16PM CST until January 25 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Accumulations of 1/10 to 1/4 inch of ice likely across the
warning area. Isolated 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice is possible. In
addition, dangerously cold temperatures are expected Saturday
night through Monday morning.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas.
* WHEN...From 3 PM Saturday to noon CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely
become slick and hazardous. Extreme cold will become life
threatening and likely damage unprotected pipes and put livestock
at risk. Travel could be nearly impossible.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.
