* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Jefferson and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1019 AM CST, Periods of moderate rain will continue. This
will cause urban and small stream flooding. Minor flooding
has been reported in areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Alabaster, Bessemer,
Homewood, Pelham, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Helena,
Hueytown, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Fairfield, Chelsea,
Fultondale, Center Point, Pleasant Grove and Tarrant.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
