* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with
gusts of 40 to 50 mph expected. For the first Extreme Cold
Warning, dangerously cold wind chills 9 to 15 degrees expected.
For the first Freeze Warning, hard freezing temperatures as low as
22 expected. For the second Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold
wind chills 17 to 20 degrees expected. For the second Freeze
Warning, hard freezing temperatures as low as 25 expected.
* WHERE...All counties in east central Florida, including Volusia,
Lake, Seminole, Orange, Brevard, Osceola, Indian River,
Okeechobee, Saint Lucie, and Martin.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 7 AM EST Sunday. For the first
Extreme Cold Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Sunday.
For the first Freeze Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 11 AM EST
Sunday. For the second Extreme Cold Warning and second Freeze
Warning, from 7 PM Sunday to 10 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive
vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

appropriate shelter from the cold.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. Bring pets
and potted plants indoors. Check on elderly neighbors to make sure
