Fire Weather Watch issued June 12 at 12:06PM MDT until June 13 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT
The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for dry thunderstorms and gusty outflow winds,
which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday
evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 494 Henry Mountains, Fire
Weather Zone 496 Color Country Mountains and Fire Weather Zone
498 Grand Staircase.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Widely scattered dry thunderstorms are forecast
to develop across Zone 496 early Saturday afternoon, then spread
into Zones 494 and 498 through the afternoon and early evening.
* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty and erratic outflow winds in excess of 40
mpm can be expected near thunderstorms or areas of virga.
* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any
new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.
A Fire Weather Watch means that there is a potential for critical
fire weather conditions. Continue to monitor for the latest
