Flash Flood Warning issued July 13 at 4:54PM MST until July 13 at 6:45PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ
At 454 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Tucson, Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base,
Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Flowing Wells, Tanque Verde, South
Tucson, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, Tortolita, San Xavier
Community, Mount Lemmon/Summerhaven, Catalina Foothills, Catalina
State Park, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Tucson International
Airport, Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park West.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 19 between mile markers 53 and 63. Route 86 between mile
markers 164 and 171. Route 77 between mile markers 70 and 86.
Interstate 10 between mile markers 238 and 268.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
