Flood Advisory issued January 8 at 7:03PM CST until January 8 at 11:00PM CST by NWS Chicago IL
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook, DuPage, and northern Will.
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 700 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated rainfall moving into the area with rates in excess
of 0.5 inches per hour. Up to 1 inch of rainfall has been
observed since earlier this afternoon. Additional showers and
thunderstorms moving into the area over the next hour will
likely cause flooding of roadways and poor drainage areas.

Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Cicero, Hammond,
Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook,
Palatine, Skokie, Des Plaines, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak
Lawn, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Wheaton and Hoffman Estates.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
