* WHAT...For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills
as low as 13 expected. For the Wind Advisory, north winds 20 to 30
mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
* WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, until 10 AM CST Sunday. For
the Wind Advisory, until midnight CST Saturday Night.
* IMPACTS...For Wind Advisory...Gusty winds will blow around
unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power
outages may result. For the Extreme Cold Warning...Frostbite and
hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
