The Finnish foreign ministry has been a target to a major IT security breach according to information obtained by MTV3 News.
The suspects are the Russian and Chinese intelligence authorities.
The hacking has been going on for four years and the Finnish government became aware of it only spring this year.
The Finnish foreign minister, mr Erkki Tuomioja confirms there has been an information leak from the foreign ministry but he does not confirm the Russian and Chinese involvement. According to Mr Tuomioja no top secret information was leaked.
Prime minister mr Jyrki Katainen says the Finnish government did not publish the leak in order not to tell the spies they have been revealed.
