F-Secure varoittaa saastutetuista sähköposteista

    F-Securen nimissä on lähetetty tuhansia saastutettuja sähköposteja, jotka sisältävät uuden muunnoksen niin sanotusta Breplibot-madosta.

    Tietoturvayhtiö F-Secure varoittaa, että sen sähköpostiosoitteita on joutunut väärinkäytön kohteeksi.

    Tuntematon "hyökkääjä" on lähettänyt päivän aikana tuhansia saastutettuja sähköposteja F-Securen nimissä. Tietoturvayhtiö arvioi, että toiminnan tavoitteena on ollut ilmeisesti yhtiön maineen tahraaminen.

    Nämä sähköpostit näyttävät tulleen F-Securen työntekijältä "David Adams, Dept. Research, F-Secure Development". Tietoturvayhtiö tiedottaa, ettei kyseistä henkilöä ole olemassa. Yhtiö ei ole lähettänyt näitä viestejä, vaan ne on muokattu näyttämään F-Securelta lähetetyiltä viesteiltä.

    Viestin levitykseen on käytetty lähetysosoitteita press@f-secure.com, info@f-secure.com ja editor@f-secure.com.

    Saastuneet sähköpostiviestit sisältävät uuden muunnoksen niin sanotusta Breplibot-madosta. F-Securen virustentorjuntaohjelmistot tunnistavat kyseisen madon nimellä W32/Breplibot.ae.
